TGTG: A place that fuels your creativity?

DP: It’s a tie. One is Florence, Italy, with its rich Renaissance heritage and vibrant art scene, constantly reminds me of the beauty of form and structure, fueling both my architectural and design work. The other has to be St. Barths. Its serene turquoise waters inspired the St. Barths Blue collection, which jump-started the gorgeous colorful jewelry we’re famous for.

TGTG: Best piece of advice you ever received about creativity or business?
DP: Push the envelope and trust your own judgment. It’s a reminder that even the funkiest ideas can lead to breakthroughs.

TGTG: If you could live in any era for its fashion and jewelry, which would it be?
DP: I’d choose the Art Deco era. Its bold geometric lines and refined elegance have left a lasting impact on both architecture and jewelry, and it continues to inspire my own designs.

TGTG: Piece you are most proud of and why?
DP: I’m most proud of the pieces from the Equestrian collection—designs inspired by my daughter’s passion for horseback riding. It perfectly marries my architectural background with a personal touch, capturing both elegance and the spirit of movement.

DP: I’d invite Frank Lloyd Wright. His visionary approach to space and nature continues to influence the way I think about structure and form.

TGTG: Coffee or tea and how do you take it?
DP:
It can get pretty cold in New York but iced latte will always be my go-to.
